DECEMBER 2005

Nigel Black joined GF as Technical Manager. Nigel was employed by CRE which unfortunatley closed in November 05. He has over 28 years of experience in combustion and air filtration. Nigel also spent considerable time in the rendering industry, setting up fluidised bed combusters. Being hands on enables him to asses more acuratley mechanical and process problems. With both Nigel and Gerrards knowledge we are now able to solve the more challanging filtration problems. *More information in Members area. ALS Controls Ltd have designed a new unique control system for GF. The BDS5000 which includes remote monitoring of filter installations via the internet.

NOVEMBER 20O5

From November all new GF installations are fitted with non-carcinogenic G4 elements with a full TWO YEAR GUARANTEE including parts and labour. GF commissioned their first Biomass filter on a novel pyrolysis process.

OCTOBER 2005

CERAM carried out a series of tests on G3 and G4 elements which confirmed they are far stronger than elements supplied from our previous suppliers. These tests were carried out comparing the G3 and G4 with three other well known manufacturers of ceramic elements. *More information in Members area. AUGUST 2005

GF receives its largest order for 16 POD 6400 element filter from exsisting customer. Launch of G3 and G4 elements. Evey element is now subject to an internal mechanical force to test for strength, every 5th element is checked for dP, bulk density and overall dimensions. *More information in Members area.

APRIL 2005

GF purchased new premises to expand ceramic filter production. Gerard Carol took over the position of technical support. He is more than well known in the Incineration Industry and spent a number of years at W.S.Atkins heading the combustion & incineration department.
